Brackish water
The glossary of statistical terms, published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), defines brackish water as: ‘…water where the salinity is appreciable but not at a constant high level. The salinity may be subject to considerable variation due to the influx of fresh or sea waters.’
